For generations, the Datoga blacksmiths of Tanzania have been crafting jewelry, tools and weapons from scrap metal they’ve gathered or traded for from other tribes. Today, not only do they continue to trade with local tribes for animal skins, meat, and honey, they generously make their creations available to tourists from around the world.
Each creation has been crafted using smithing skills learned over centuries and handmade tools including bellows made from animal skin and stones.
Now you can own a genuine handcrafted bracelet crafted by the Datoga of Tanzania. These bracelets make a memorable gift for yourself or a loved one. Each bracelet comes with a card explaining its origin and information about Lone Star Love for Tanzania and our mission. Priced at $30 each, 100% of the funds of each purchase (excluding tax) goes to benefit children and families of Tanzania and the Datoga tribe.
